Seal with image of a female figure

This large seal is engraved with the motif of a standing female figure wearing elaborate garments and jewellery. Her raised arms and hips swayed to the left suggest she is dancing. Crystal seals could have been used to make impressions on clay tablets for use as offerings. Alternatively they could have been worn as amulets. They have been found under boundary stones and in the foundations of temples, in the lower Mekong Delta region of Cambodia and Vietnam.
