This shard was previously part of a Dehua porcelain bowl. It is decorated with moulded scroll designs and has a crazed white glaze. The bowl which this shard is a part of might be classified under ‘southern provincial wares’ or ‘minan ware’ (wares produced in south Fujian). These wares were made for domestic use or for export and their quality is generally of a lower standard.
