Pair of wedding shoes for men

This pair of shoes is made of cotton thread with geometric patterns and butterfly motifs. Butterflies were common motifs for weddings as a symbol of fertility for the couple. This would have been worn by the Peranakan Chinese groom in Indonesia as part of the 12-day wedding.
