Blouse

This is a jamdani choli from the region of Nepal. The jamdani weave is from the Dhaka region. The jamdani was supplied to the Nepal region and often made to order; the dhaka topi is one such example. The name jamdani is of Persian origin; “jam” meaning flower and “dani” meaning vase. Jamdani were woven on the loom with rich, decorative motifs; usually in white and grey, sometime using a combination of gold and white thread.
