Block Printed Prayer Musalla (Mat)

This hand block-printed prayer musalla (mat) was used by Bohra Muslims of North Gujarat. Mats are used by Muslims at home or at the mosque during prayers. The pattern on the mat resembles a mihrab and would be placed facing Mecca at the time of prayer.
